Overview

 

As a Permit Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the permit application process and ensuring a seamless interaction between our company and various municipalities. 

 

 

Pay Range: $19.00 - $22.00/hr

 Your key responsibilities include:

  • Obtain necessary documents from Service Managers and Operations Managers to initiate the permit application process.
  • Liaise with municipalities to secure all required approvals for permits.
  • Prepare and submit applications to relevant agencies and boards overseeing permits and approvals.
  • Review plans and start packages for accuracy, ensuring correct revision dates.
  • Coordinate paperwork and applications with external consultants when necessary.
  • Submit permit paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Maintain schedules for all communities, overseeing the permitting process from approval to completion.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments related to permitting.
  • Enter permitting data accurately into our system.
  • Prepare start packages for Managers and obtain necessary inspections for project closure.
  • Maintain organized files for site plan applications, approvals, licenses, permits, and registrations.
  • Represent the company in meetings with Operations Managers and General Managers, presenting projects and seeking approval.

Requirements:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of permitting experience required.
  • Experience with single/multi-family and amenity permitting preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Construction Industry is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints.
  • Detail-oriented team player comfortable in a fast-paced environment with a heavy workload.
  • Advanced PC skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent follow-up, communication (written and verbal), and time management skills.
